One of the most controversial fighters on the planet Mohammed Elomar was killed during an air strike in Northern Iraq in June. The news was confirmed by the intelligence services of several countries and the 14-year-old second wife of Elomar, who sent a message to the relatives. The Australian was known as a terrorist and was even condemned by the Prime Minister of his country, Tony Abbott.
Elomar dropped from boxing in June 2013 and went to Syria, where he took part in the local wars. He overtook the newscasts in 2014, when posted a pic with severed heads of Syrian soldiers in Twitter.
Elomar finished his career with 19 wins (9 by KO) and 1 loss. He joined one of the biggest melees around boxing rings for the last 20 years, when his brother Ahmed defeated William Kickett.
