No major surprises in the CONCACAF zone

The big favorite in Group C of world qualifiers in the CONCACAF zone the United States did not make a surprise and qualified for the final via soccer picks stage of the competition after beating Trinidad and Tobago with 4:0.
A loss with four or more goals would have been a sensational throw Americans out of Russia`s participation in: just after 2 years on behalf of Guatemala, but the guys of Jurgen Klinsmann did not allow this to happen.

With the victory, the Americans won the Group C with 13 points, while Trinidad and Tobago remained on the second place with 11. The third-ranked team is Guatemala, which despite categorical success with 9:3 over St. Vincent and the Grenadines finished with 10 points.
Five goals for the categorical success team were scored by Carlos Ruiz.
In the Group C, Mexico break run of 5 consecutive success after graduating as a host with 0:0 with Honduras. However, the Aztecs won the group with 16 points, while equality proved enough for the guests to collect 8 points and finish on the second place. The third in the group is the team of Canada, who in the recent meeting won with 3:1 against underdog El El Salvador.
Costa Rica and Panama are the last two teams that continue the fight for a spot on the World Cup 2018. In a direct duel for the first place, Costa Rica won with 3:1.
The third place in the Group is won by Haiti`s team, who beat Jamaica with 2:0. In the next phase, the six teams that continue - United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Honduras and Trinidad and Tobago will play each other twice. The top three teams in the Group will qualify for the World Cup while the fourth one will play an intercontinental play-off.
